May I introduce my partner, Angela(She's the one with the shorter hair)? We've been together since 1989. We are in Phoenix now because her company transferred her to Phoenix via Colorado Springs. She had too much time invested with them to decline the offer. I decided I no longer needed to pursue the big bucks so I naturally chose to come with her. We packed up and went to Colorful Colorado for a year and then transferred again to Arizona. We will likely be here for the duration af her career. My background is mottled, but most of my career comprised technical involvement in various aerospace companies and "black box" companies. I suppose you could label me a vagabond worker since I tried many different jobs over the years. I even did a few stints of just odd jobs using a collection of tools that I could fit in my 1963 VW.
Several of my jobs, such as, package design, electronic test fixture design, and technical writing offered some degree of artistic outlet. My first art-for-pay job came when I started an advertising business that catered to indiviuals in the fashion industry. The name of my company was Talisman Unlimited. Just a sample of customers includes Jordache, After Six, Esprit and Adini. It was one of the most fullfilling times in my life. Why did I leave it? I'm sorry. I dont remember! I will say that people in the fashion industry make LOTS of money and like to pahtey.
When me n Ange left Washington I had just finished another design stint. I designed various electronics to operate and control a multi-pole, pulsed coil, permanent magnet motor/generator. It remains to be seen if I am given credit for that work although I did receive recognition documentation from the US Patent Office that stated my electronics appeared to be a unique design. I have since learned that somebody in Florida has taken credit for my work. Oh well, I'm not a litigious person. I hope that Karma will take care of the situation.
Just before we left the Great Northwet I discovered I had Hepatitus C(type 1A). Since it is the worst form of this disease and eventually fatal I decided to take my Social Security and see what I could accomplish artistically while I still had some time. I began to work with my computer and did some small sculpture projects for friends while building a repertoire of my abstracts. In February 2004 I began chemotherapy. There is too much to say about the world of "chemo". Suffice to say it changed me physically, emotionally, and philosophically. Starting before and working during chemo and since my apparent remission I've accumulated a sizeable collection of my work.(I wont say how much for fear of diluting the quality of my results.)
There is no defineable purpose of this site except, I hope, to have fun and stimulate your senses. Thanx for your PATIENCE.
UPDATE!!!
In December of 2005 I was notified by my beloved caregiver that I was CURED. My latest test results indicated that I had NO virus and a normally functioning liver. Now I can go on with my life as originally intended (with no definite plans hehe).
